Gina Brillon

New York

Actress/Comedian and writer; Gina Brillon has as much sex appeal as she does sass in her in your face style of Stand up comedy. Brillon’s rare mix of femininity and fearlessness; have made her a hit with crowds across the globe. The Bronx born Latina has no trouble connecting with her male or female fans with her raw honesty about everything from what it’s like being an “Ethnic” to a brutal breakdown of the female mind. Brillon is a regular on the New York scene performing at Carolines Comedy Club, Laugh Factory, Stand up NY,The Comic Strip, and Gotham Comedy club. She has also been featured in a number of independent film productions such as “The Mime” series, “Consequences”, “Went to Coney Island”, and the “Cyclist” as well as opening for singers Chrisette Michelle and Neyo. Some of Brillon’s other achievements include being featured on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, Comedy.TV, MTV3, SiTV, Latina magazine and Several News Papers including the New York Post and the Daily News. Jon Laster

With skill and determination, Jon Laster swiftly paid his dues and worked his way to now being one of Americas leading comedians. After leaving a lifetime of basketball, including High School All-American status and Division-1 college basketball, Jon jumped into comedy. In less than 5 years, he has worked some of the most popular and well-respected rooms across the country, including New York’s Caroline’s and the Boston Comedy Club, Comedy Works of his hometown of Denver. Jon also hosts his own weekly comedy night in Brooklyn, NY, where he currently resides. He recently appeared at Laphapalooza in Atlanta, Georgia. He has appeared on BET’s “The Best of Comic View” every season for the past 3 years and is currently expanding his horizons in film and television. When asked what he wants for his audience, Jon replied, “My goal is to make people feel good and forget about or at least laugh at life’s pressures, even if just for a few minutes.” And that’s exactly what he does. Authenticity, with an equal mixture of laid-back and animated style is what makes this Denver native so intriguing.

Vladimir Caamaño

With the name Vladimir few people expect a Dominican from the Bronx to take the stage. His experience is the fruit of an immigrant Dominican family living in the cultural mecca that is New York City. Raised in the Bronx and Washington Heights, Vladimir began polishing his wit while attending Wesleyan University. Whether discussing his grandfather who fathered 43 kids, going to college without luggage, or telling stories of his outrageous family, you will enjoy watching this artist weave a hilarious fabric of truth and absurdity. Vladimir is a regular at all the New York City Comedy clubs: Comic Strip Live, Ha Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, and Caroline’s. He is also a Diversity Scholarship Winner at The People’s Improv Theater where he is also taking writing courses. In 2010 Vladimir was a finalist in Gilda’s Laugh Festival and in 2011 he was a quarterfinalist at the Laughing Skull Festival. Vladimir has been featured on Standup 360, ComedyTime and SiTV’s Comedy Quickies.

David Smithyman

Failing to ever fulfill his true potential as an Australian child actor, David Smithyman moved to New York City in 2004 to attend NYU, and become a playwright. Instead, he moved to Brooklyn, started doing stand-up, and realized he actually really hated plays. He currently teaches stand-up comedy to awkward teenagers at Gotham Comedy Club as part of the Kids ‘n Comedy program, and was recently awarded a Literary Classics International Children’s Book Award.

Arvin Mitchell

St. Louis’ own Arvin Mitchell has hit the comedy scene running since his debut on BET’ Coming to the Stage in 2003. As the former bartender and co-host of BET’s Club Comic View and host of Spring Bling 21 Questions, Arvin has attracted fans in the U.S. and abroad. His television appearances have helped him become one of the hottest comedians requested on the college circuit. Arvin’s comedic style appeals to both urban and mainstream audiences worldwide. He continues to hone his craft by working the comedy club circuit in New York and Los Angeles that include Comic Strip Live, Boston Comedy Club, Irvine Improv Room, The Laugh Factory, and The Comedy Store.

Rob Haze

In a short amount of time, Rob Haze has become a rising star in stand-up comedy. The Atlanta native began his stand up journey while studying Political Science, at the University of Georgia. There he would host and perform at many talent shows, pageants, and step shows. He went on to win the Athens Last Comic Standing contest. Robert moved back to his hometown Atlanta, Georgia to further his comedy career. With a sense of humor that is full both of clever wordplay and references to popular culture, there is no wonder why Rob has become a favorite at the Laughing Skull Lounge, Punchline, and Uptown Comedy Corner. Rob uses his gift, to help others as well; in 2012 he won the Autism Laughs charity competition. He also was a writer and star of a (local) sketch comedy show called Cabbagetown. In 2012, Rob began to branch out from the Southeast, and was a finalist in the Bay Area Black Comedy Competition in Oakland, California. There are no racial or age limits to Rob’s comedy as he likes to bring people together rather than tear them apart.
